Adelie is entertaining us with what she says everyday.

Here are some of this week's gems:
Adelie and I went to the park to have a storytime at a science day before the science program. There is are nice folks from a church who bring a popcorn machine and lemonade. Adelie had been feeling a bit under the weather this week (more on that below) so she was pretty quiet and shy. When we walked under the shelter her face lit up and she leaned over to me and said,
"My mouth smells popcorn!"Sometimes it IS like your mouth smells popcorn!
Last night Tom, Adelie and I were taking a walk and we could hear the ice cream truck off in the distance - it was nearby we could tell! It seemed like it was getting closer, but it wasn't in view yet. Adelie was dancing in the street (we live on a deadend street, which is off another deadend street) and getting quite excited. She put her hand up to her EAR and said repeatedly,
"I can see the ice cream truck!"She meant was that she could HEAR it.
The ice cream truck never made it to our street, so we decided to go to the old Dairy Queen in Latonia. Martin and Camille went too. We were talking about Dairy Queen the whole way there and when we arrived, Adelie said,
"FAIRY QUEEN!!!" Fairy Queen!"
Here she is at "Fairy Queen" in a new dress Momma made her. We were at the fabric store and she fell in love with this fabric for a dress.

For the first time in the 16 months that Adelie has been a part of our family, she got a fever this week. On Tuesday, when we realized she was sick was when she said
"My head owwie - I don't (didn't) bonk it."
She didn't know what was making her head feel that way. She had a virus that just gave her a temperature and a sore throat and she was the sweetest kid with a fever. She's all better now.
It's a busy month at the Wartman home - May is always busy with all the end of the year school events. This year GEORGIA IS GRADUATING!!! Her actual graduation is June 4th, which is Tom's and my 20th anniversary. Pretty cool! We're having a graduation party on June 14th at our house - wanna come?
Life is grand!
